Such a design, however, leads to a question and a reservation. The spear's in the other hand, though, when three neutral ones decide to march through your base looking for dinner. It's great to have a tame Allosaurus chew up your opponent's infantry. This fuels a constant need for combat, and while there are plenty of neutral dinosaurs populating the landscape to fight, unlike most RTS games, these ambient animals aren't pushovers. Skulls are used for almost everything beyond the basics, including researching unit enhancements, advancing through the game's five epochs, promoting units to more advanced forms, and even producing some of the most powerful dinosaurs. Skulls are acquired only in combat, and the stronger the unit killed, the more skulls acquired. There's also a fourth resource, however: skulls. The game has three basic resources - wood, stone and food - that are gathered in standard RTS fashion by peasants. Unit specialization and aggression are also encouraged by the game's unusual economic system.
